Comic Con San Diego 2014! Panel information AND a demo at the WACOM booth

Comic Con San Diego 2014 has arrived, and I will be part of some great events again this year!

The Costume Designers Guild has welcomed me back to speak in a panel on Costume Concept Art in Film along with my talented colleagues and friends Phillip Boutte Jr, Constantine Sekeris and Christian Cordella! 

The panel is Costume Designers Guild- Costume Illustration

this Friday, July 25 1:00pm - 2:00pm Room 23ABC

The hottest costume illustrators of the day will talk about their latest blockbuster projects, the creative process, and what it's like working with some of the top costume designers. Panelists include Alan Villanueva (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2), Constantine Sekeris (Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice), Philllip Boutte Jr. (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Christian Cordella ( Captain America: Winter Soldier), and Arianne Phillips, (Kingsman: The Secret Service) Moderator TBD. for more info and updates follow the Costume Designers Guild at #CDGcomiccon.

I have been working very hard on a Brand New Comic Con Exclusive Concept Art piece executed in Zbrush that I will be giving away and signing after the panel. 

Thats not all the excitement, if you are around this Sunday,  I will be doing a digital art demo presentation on how I created Artemisia's battle costume in 300: Rise of An Empire.

DSP and Constantine Sekeris invited me to join a group of humble and talented artists in their newest publication Costume Design and Illustration- For Film, Video Games and Animation! After selling out the first 500 copies in pre-orders on Amazon.com, DSP announced they will have this book available at Comic Con this week! 

A few of us will be there doing a book signing at the Design Studio Press Booth #1701!

New Concept Art from 300: Rise Of An Empire

Here are some Costume Concept illustrations I had the pleasure to create for Artemisia, the Persian Navy Commander, played by the beautiful Eva Green.  Been wanting to share this since its theatre release, better late than never right? Other than Artemisia as an adult is also her as a young child (from the flashback scene) when she began to develop her skills as a warrior...Enjoy!
